- Description
- This announcement is published as a Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, and FAR 12 and 13. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to HARRIS Technical Services Corporation (HTSC) for Open Systems COMET (OS-COMET) software licenses. OS-COMET is proprietary software of the HARRIS Corporation, copyright 1994-2002. Therefore, due to the copyright and data rights owned by HARRIS, they are the only contractor who can meet the current requirements of this contract. Licenses will be utilized by the Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC), Pt. Mugu, CA. This contract will be in direct support of the NAVSOC Integrated Satellite Control System (ISCS). NAVSOC also supports the POLAR constellation, which is operated using a newer version of Open Systems COMET (OS-COMET). The request for Propo sal number is N00244-03-T-0994. The NAICS code is 517410
