Description
Under authority of U.S.C. 253©(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda, Maryland intends to procure from Carl Zeiss, Inc., One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594, for a LSM 510 Meta NLO Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope System. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334516, and the business size is 500 employees. This system shall include, but not be limited to, and meet or exceed the following performance characteristics, features, and pertain to the following components: (1) This system shall be capable of performing two-photon microscopy; (2) Shall contain a Meta-tracking feature that allows for rapid electronic switching of wavelength ranges to be used in combination with a auto tunable Chameleon laser with 720-390 nm tunable wavelength range; (3) Must be fully automated and relatively easy to use; (4) Shall have an acousta optical modulator (AOM) that allows attenuation and line selection for performing photobleaching and photoactivation experiments, these propertied make it well suited to relieve the demand in the branch for the use of instruments in high quality confocal imaging experiments. Concerns that respond to this synopsis shall furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above and are invited to submit capability statements in an ORIGINAL PLUS TWO (2) no later than fifteen (15) business days from the date of this announcement. Written responses shall include complete description of the equipment to be provided, containing sufficient technical information to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the stated requirements as listed above.
