- The following are the statements of work for both required newsletters. STATEMENT OF WORK - Community Center Programs Newsletter (CommunitTIES) 1. The Contractor shall provide a print ready electronic copy of the USAF Services "CommuniTIES" newsletter to the Air Force Services agency every two (2) months, six (6) times annually, beginning with the Mar/Apr issue. 2. The four (4) page newsletter shall be in electronic format, ready to print, in two (2) colors. The Government reserves the right to select the two colors. 3. The contractor shall forward articles to HQ AFSVA/SVPAC, 10100 Reunion Place, Suite 402, San Antonio TX 78216, 210-652-4045. Newsletter articles shall be provided one (1) month in advance of distribution date to review and select articles for the newsletter. 4. Contractor shall provide articles so the Government can select an equal amount of articles addressing topics financial management, health and nutrition, recreation programs, and education. 5. Articles shall be no older than six (6) months from the date submitted for review. 6. The Government reserves the right to select only those articles deemed "appropriate". 7. The Government reserves the right to provide up to one (1) page of Air Force or "Services" related articles. Government will supply article via e-mail or on disk. 8. The Government reserves the right to request additional articles if articles submitted for review lack the desired substance, focus, and developmentally appropriate soundness. 9. Contractor shall provide a "final draft" to the Government for approval five (5) working days prior to printing deadlines. 10. Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining clearance from the articles sources for the newsletter, and on the newsletter's Internet web site. Contractor shall provide clearances to the Government upon request. 11. Newsletter shall be finalized the 15th of the second month preceding the cover dates. (Example: distribute the Jan/Feb edition no later than 15 Nov.)Customer will meet pre-established reviewing deadlines. 12. Contractor shall provide the customer a copy of each publication in PDF format for use on customer's Internet web site (www.afsv.af.mil). Copy shall be provided by email (margaret.barnett@agency.afsv.af.mil and anne-marie.wallace@agency.afsv.af.mil) or on disk through US mail to HQ AFSVA/SVPAC, 10100 Reunion Place Suite 402, San Antonio, TX 78216-4138. 13. Services logo and disclaimer shall appear on lower back page of all issues published. HQ AFSVA/SVPAC will provide the logo to the contractor. The disclaimer shall read: "The mention or appearance of non-federal entities, commercial vendors, and/or their logos neither implies nor constitutes federal endorsement of the organization, products, or services." 14. Local reproduction of hard copies mailed to bases, or printed from the Internet web site shall be authorized. 15. At least two year's proven experience providing a similar quality newsletter is required. 16. Product quality must be equal or better than samples provided. Contractor should provide samples of previous work for review. Revised Statement of Work 1/29/03*********************************************************** STATEMENT OF WORK - Youth Programs Newsletter (YouthLINK) 1. The Contractor shall provide a print ready electronic copy of the USAF Services "YouthLINK" newsletter to the Air Force Services agency every two (2) months, six (6) times annually, beginning with the Mar/Apr 2003 issue. 2. The four (4) page newsletter shall be in electronic format, ready to print, printed in two (2) colors. A two page youth oriented insert containing puzzles, games and articles geared to youth shall be inserted inside the "YouthLINK" newsletter. The Government reserves the right to select the two colors. 3. The contractor shall forward articles to HQ AFSVA/SVPAC, 10100 Reunion Place, Suite 402, San Antonio TX 78216, 210-652-4045. Newsletter articles shall be provided one (1) month in advance of distribution date to review and provide selection. 4. Contractor shall provide articles so the Government can select an equal amount of articles addressing topics on youth sports, school-age programs, recreation programs for youth, and educational and transition programs. Information included on the insert shall be geared for youths aged 6-16 years to include word games, educational articles and fun stories. 5. At least two year's proven experience printing a similar quality news letter for a youth/parent audience is required. Provide samples for review. Product quality must be equal or better than samples provided.
