- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. The Contractor shall provide, unless otherwise specified, all labor, supervision, materials, supplies and equipment necessary to provide upgrade/repair services for two (2) SEM shredders, model number 1424 in accordance with the following Statement Of Work: General: The contractor shall furnish all personnel, labor, tools, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to refurbish and upgrade of (2) two SEM 1424 shredders. All parts must be new and the original manufacturer’s or the manufacturer’s approved substitute. Dimension for 1424 Shredders: Capacity#/hr- 2000lbs, or 930 kg DOD#/hr- 800 lbs, or 360 kg Destruction Chamber- 14X24, or 356X610 Motor- 40-150 HP, 37.2-74.5, 208V/230V, 460V/3/60HZ Air System- 74X80X65”, 1880X2032X1651 Weight- 6200lbs/2810kg Line Item #1: Dust Free Systems and Warning Device Provide modification to current vacuum system so it creates a dust free environment. Dust storage compartment/system shall be equipped with an early warning sensor to warn operator about system back up. Line Item #2: Sound Eclosure: Contractor shall provide a sound enclosure so it reduces noise level produced by the machine inside the room. Line Item #3: 150hp Motor Rebuild/Repair Both motors are making a loud noise. Possible rebuild/repair. Line Item #4: Fan Cyclone and Rotary Air Lock Replacement Current units have being exposed to elements for about 15 years, therefore creating rust. Possible replacement might be needed, and upgrade of system size is desired in order to handle a larger load, and avoid paper back ups. Personnel. The contractor must provide a list of names of employee technicians that will provide services on this contract prior to the commencement of performance. Contractor must have enough personnel to cover repair technicians due to illness/vacation etc. In addition, the personnel to perform maintenance work on site, shall have a background check and must be cleared by the 6 Security Forces Squadron for access to MACDILL AFB prior to start of contract performance. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000, and is an all or none requirement. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST REGISTER IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTORS REGISTERATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A CONTRACT. OFFERORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL REGISTERATION DATABASE MAY RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Registration can be accomplished on www.ccr.gov. This requirement is considered a small business set-aside. Interested Small businesses that meet the criteria must indicate their interest by submitting evidence of their capability to perform (three references with names, phone and contract numbers) within 3 days of this notice. If adequate interest is not received within the time specified, the contract will be issued as 100% Small Business Set-Aside subject to FAR 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Small Business Concerns.
