Description
NA The following is a request for information and pricing for budgetary purposes only. There is no intent to make any award based on responses to this notice. 1.) The Government requires sufficient full-time Ku-band space segment and services to support the use of 12 each, SWEEDISH IPT terminals operating up to T-1 rates anywhere in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility. The Government recognizes that there may be some areas that will not be supportable based on capability and availability of space segment. T he government will review all responses for their ability to provide the services as close as possible to the entire area desired. Specifically, the terminals will be operating in a TDMA scheme using I-Direct modems in conjunction with SWEEDISH IPT termin als. The guaranteed bandwidth of all 12 terminals operating at a given time shall be 512Kbps with surge capability to T-1 for a minimum of 6 IPT terminals at a given time. Should a service provider propose to provide the service coverage on two different satellites, then the information provided shall include costs for a.) The requirements as listed above divided equally between the two satellites (6 terminals on a given satellite at 512Kbps with 3 surging to T-1 at a given time) or b.) The requirements a s listed above but duplicated on each satellite (The guaranteed bandwidth of all 12 terminals operating at a given time shall be 512Kbps with surge capability to T-1 for a minimum of 6 IPT terminals at a given time). The Government desires physical space in the recommended commercial teleport to locate I-Direct hub equipment capable of terminating data services to/from the IPT terminals. The Government desires to place equipment in a single teleport capable of providing the total space segment required. The Government shall be responsible for connectivity to/from the selected teleport. 2.) Request cost, schedule and performance information from interested vendors and satellite providers. Space segment price breaks for extended lease periods of 1, 2, and 3 years is desired as a result of this request for information. Regarding schedule, availability dates of the proposed services is requested as part of this request for information. Regarding performance, any limitations expected regarding the intended use of the services as described above shall be provided as part of this request for information. No phone calls please, all inquiries shall be via e-mail to tim.scott@tao.army.mil and pat.grove@tao.army.mil. Please e-mail your responses including pricing and capabilities to the two addresses listed above. Responses are requested by 29 Aug 03.
