- Description
- NAICS Code: 333411 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Arcturus, 400 Logue Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94043 for LCM1110 AutoPix Automated Laser Capture Microdissection System, 110V (includes 1 LCM Starter Pack, with 2 boxes of HS caps and 2 boxes of MacroCaps: HialoGene LCM Frozen Section staining Kit; Capsure LCM MacroCaps; CapSure HS Starter Pack). The instrument is needed to recover airway samples in order to assess the toxicity following exposure to CI02. EPA believes Arcturus is the only vendor capable of satisfying the Agency's requirements. The circumstances permitting Other than Full and Open Competition Justification is FAR 6.302, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements." The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any source(s) exists and, therefore, no RFP is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide a capability statement but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFP will not be honored. All interested parties must respond within 15 days of the date of this announcement to Natalia Fisher-Jackson, at the above address. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outlined above; 2) fully explain your capabilities and qualifications and; 3) provide itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. Response to this synopsis must be made in writing. No telephonic or faxed request will be honored.
