Description
NA This Sources Sought Notice is seeking HUBZone small businesses for competitive consideration. A Market Survey is being conducted by the New England District to determine capability among HUBZone small businesses in a $7M Transportation and Disposal (T&D) contract at the New Bedford Harbor Superfund Site. Work will consist of transporting and dispo sing of PCB contaminated sediment and debris along with all related planning and regulatory coordination. The work will be accomplished on a firm-fixed price basis. Interested firms shall have the expertise to transport and dispose of up to approximately 100,000 tons of PCB contaminated (less than 50 ppb) sediments and debris from a disposal facility located at the foot of Sawyer Street in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The NAICS code governing this potential procurement is 562211. The project is scheduled to begin August/September 2004. All eligible HUBZone small businesses should notify this office in writing by mail of your interest in this notice. E-mail responses will not be accepted. Responses should include: (1) Identification of company size status and certification as a HUBZone. (2) If you are a HUBZone firm considering a joint venture, you will need to provide proof that this consideration has been forwarded to the cognizant SBA office for approval. (3) A description of your approach to executing the work to include the role of the prime contractor, the role of any team subcontractors and services that would be competitively procured. (4) A description of your experience as a firm both in general and with transportation and disposal type projects. (5) Identify your key staff and their experience both in general and with transportation and disposal type projects. This is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. Responses are required no later than 05 September 2003. Responses should be addressed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751, ATTN: Sheila Winston-Vincuilla, Contract Specialist. Firms interested shall provide the above documentation, in one origina l form and 1 copy. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages. The government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period o f one year from the date of this notice.
