- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award one firm-fixed price contract to completely prepare sites, furnish labor, materials and perform work for the construction and installation of automat ic site irrigation systems and central controls for Sections 23, 42 and 43, and construction of Water Supply Station No. 5 and Well No. 5, including optional Section 25 also with automatic site irrigation systems and central controls at the Veterans Admini stration Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. as required by the drawings and specifications. This procurement will be UNRESTRICTED. The estimated construction value of the project is between$1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The completion period is approximately 300 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. Plans and Specification will be available on or about 1 September 2003. Bid Opening date is on or about 30 September 2003 at 1 P.M. Bid opening will be held in Room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. The media selected for the issuance of the Solicitation and Amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Governme nt; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this Solicitation, and Amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the Solicitation at no charge by go ing to http://www.nan.usace.army.mil/ (then clicking on Contract & Bid). Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat reader. Minimum system requirements are 486-bas ed personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8mb application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this s olicitation. Utilization of the Internet is the preferred method, however, CDs will be available upon written request stating the Solicitation Number, or Project Name, complete company name and street address. We will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to FAO, USAED, NY. Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense (CCR) dat abase prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
