- Description
- The Access Board, through Bureau of the Public Debt, intends to issue on a sole source basis, a simplified acquisition to the Marine Operators Association of America in Washington DC, to implement and conduct an extensive training program for marina and other boat facility operators on the new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines for Boating Facilities. These design and construction guidelines contain provisions for making boat slips, gangways, and boarding piers at boat launch ramps accessible for persons with disabilities. Other ADA accessibility guidelines for buildings and facilities such as accessible parking, toilet and bathing facilities, exterior accessible routes will also be covered in the program. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT IS AVAILABLE. Public Debt will consider all affirmative responses received no later than 2 PM EDT, September 2, 2003. Affirmative responses shall reference RFQ03-102 and shall be accompanied by sufficient documentation to clearly show the ability to provide the required services or functional equivalent at terms more advantageous to the Government. Requests for more information or a copy of the solicitation will not be considered affirmative responses. If no affirmative response is received that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all requirements and that it is more advantageous to the Government, a sole-source award will be made to the Marine Operators Association of America.
