- Description
- The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is soliciting proposals for HVAC Upgrade. Remove existing air handling equipment, air cooled condensing units, boiler room exhaust fan, pneumatic temperature controls, hot water boiler, circulating pumps and piping systems; provide new air handling unit, associated air cooled condensing unit and air distribution systems; provide two new hot water boilers, circulating and boiler pumps, and hot water piping to distribute heating media to various new and existing terminal heating units; provide new toilet room exhaust fan to serve basement and first floor toilet rooms; provide new Direct Digital control system; miscellaneous work related to the installation of new HVAC equipment and ductwork; miscellaneous electrical work; complete testing, adjusting and balancing of the entire building, including all new and existing hot water and air systems. Minority-owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $420,000 to $470,000 Construction completion time will be 135 calendar days from the date after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Evaluation criteria in addition to price will be considered and are as follows: Past Performance and Experience on Similar Projects, - Supplier Capability, to accomplish project, - Financial Stability, Bonding & Backlog, - Project Management Plan/Approach - Project Schedule, - Proposed Project Team, - Quality Control Team, Safety Plan and MBE/WBE/SBE Plan. Specifications will be available on or about Tuesday, August 19, 2003. Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost of $90.00, for all requests received no later than September 2, 2003. The preferred method of paying for prints is by credit card. LDI accepts Master Card, Visa, or AMEX. Orders can be pre- paid by Corporate or Personal Check made out to LDI Reproprinting Center (DO NOT MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE). Mail your check to: LDI Reproprinting Centers, 2200 Northlake Parkway, Suite 350, Tucker, GA 30084-4084. All orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. This is included in the price of the prints and specifications. USPS Express Mail service is also available at an additional cost. There will be no public opening of offers. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. The name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information. The number of offerors, their names, and the amount of their offers WILL NOT BE RELEASED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION. This information is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Exemption 4.
