- Description
- The Department of Health and Human Services, The Office on Women?s Health in Region III, through the Program Support Center (PSC) plans to award a sole source fixed price simplified acquisition to Women Against Abuse, Inc., P.O. Box 13758, Philadelphia, PA 19101. The period of Performance is date of award through December 31, 2004. Under the Far 6.302-1 the service need for this requirement are available from only one source and this requirement is to assist the Office on Women?s Health, Region III to achieve, One HHS Department-wide Program Objective (DPO)#5 ?Improve health outcomes-reduce the incidence and consequences of injuries and violence? by supporting a public media campaign and for staff and client training on trauma with the goal of raising community awareness that domestic violence is a thread to the safety of health of women and children. The trauma recovery training will train staff with dealing with the after effect of trauma. The media campaign will be directed at sending messages to the population of Philadelphia on the need to stop domestic violence. The messages will be disseminated by posting on billboards and bus signs, and through the distribution of information brochures. The Proposed Simplified Acquisition Action Is for Supplies and Services for Which the Government Intends to Solicit and Negotiate with Only One Source under Authority of Far 6.302. Interested Persons May Identify Their Interest and Capability to Respond to the Requirement or Submit Proposals Within 9 Days after the Date of Publication of the Notice. A Determination by the Government Not to Compete this Proposed Simplified Acquisitions Based upon Responses to this Notice Is Solely Within the Discretion of the Government. Information Received Will Normally Be Considered Solely for the Purpose of Determining Whether to Conduct a Competitive Procurement. No Solicitation is available.
