- Description
- This is a modification to the solicitation N00173-03-R-AT02 for an Imaging Triple Spectrometer/NIR Linear Array that was issued on July 25, 2003. Closing date is not extended. The following are the answers to the questions raised regarding the specifications: Question: Will the laser excitation sources be provided by NRL or as part of this solicitation? Answer: The laser excitation source will be provided by NRL. Question: What wavelength(s) will be used for excitation of the micro-Raman and (micro-) Photoluminescence? Answer: At present, the source will be Nd:YV04 at 1064nm, but other sources will be utilized in the future such as Nd:YAG (doubled) 532nm (which could be used in the future with a visible CCD), Tunable Ti: Saphire, etc. Question: For Raman Spectroscopy: how close to the excitation line does the user need to observe bands? Answer: 100cm-1 or better. Question: There is no mention of the sampling device on the specification sheet, am I to assume it is to be a microscope? Answer: The sampling will be done through a home build microscope and/or regular optics.
