Description
Signage Services - SSA Operations Building NAICS 339950 Sign Manufacturing The SSA Operations Building, a four story and half a basement facility, will be undergoing extensive renovations starting in September 2003. The duration of the Operations Building Renovation Project will be approximately 3.5 years and will be in two phases of construction. Phase one renovations of the west side will take approximately 18 months. After that section is finished, employees can start moving in and work will begin on the east side of the building. There are six months allotted between phases to backfill the west half of the building and vacate the east half. Phase two of the east side is scheduled to take 16 months. The building size is 790,000 NSF. The building renovations will include, but will not be limited to, new cubicles (approximately 2600), offices, office suites, and conference rooms, self service supply store, post office, library, concession stands, specialty stores and employee activity centers. There will be four main building entrances, one on the south side, two on the east side, and once on the west side. Easy way finding as defined by workplace neighborhoods is required. SSA will need signage throughout the entire building for the following sign types: 1. Code Signs 2. Egress Signs 3. Safety/regulation signs 4. column markers 5. general building signs 6. special condition signs 7. Tenant sign for Suite 8. Tenant sign for Offices 9. Support room signs 10. cubical and cubicle row signs 11. Way finding signs for directional signs 12. Building identity signs 13. key location hanging signs 14. link signage The signage project will be scheduled for completion to coordinate with the two construction phases. Since employees will be unable to relocate to the Operations Building newly renovated space until all of the appropriate signs are in place, prompt installation of the signs is critical. Employees located on the east side of the building will be unable to relocate to the west side of the building until all of the signs are in place. It is imperative that the contractor adheres to the delivery schedule. If the Contractor fails to deliver the supplies or perform the services within the time specified in the contract, the Contractor will pay to the Government liquidated dames of $1,000 per calendar day of delay. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to ascertain the number of small business MANUFACTUERS who are interested and capable to perform the above requirement.
