- Description
- Under authority of U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Bethesda Maryland intends to negotiate a contract with Coherent Laser Group, 5100 Patrick Henry Drive, Santa Clara, CA 95054. Any response must be received in writing within seven (7) business days from the published date of this notice. The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 339112 Surgical & medical instrument with a size standard of 500 employees. The Chameleon system shall include but not limited to the following: 1. Shall include a computer driven laser that is fully compatible and integratable into the existing microscope system, (Zeiss 510); 2. System shall be comprised of: a. Solid-state green laser. b. A sealed Titanium Sapphire (Ti:S) Kerr lens mode-locked oscillator. c. An actively controlled interface between the above two components. d. A solid-state chiller e. A manual/computer interface to allow for experimental integration into existing microscope system; 3. System shall be hermetic sealed; 4. Pump engine shall be of efficient design that allows figure of merit of diode-to-green efficiency of 25% or better; 5.Head shall be permanently aligned to maintain the optimized power levels required for imaging applications ; 6. System shall have CPU control of LBO temperature with an internal power source, to regulate the LBO crystal temperature during moves; 7. System shall have an onboard spectrometer capable of monitoring both wavelength and bandwidth of the laser; 8. Spectrometer shall be addressable via the universal serial bus; 9. System shall have an active feedback, which continuously and automatically optimizes the output power and pulse width at all wavelengths; 10. System shall have the following performance specifications:
