Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Reference number N00251-3211-6907 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and all incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses (52.219-6 applies) and NAICS code 334513 (SIC 3823) applies, which has a small business size standard of 500 employees. The requirement is for 1 each Niton XLI-818 Portable XRF Alloy Analyzer including the optional test stand and 48-month extended warranty, or equal. This product contains isotopes. The following critical salient characteristics for an equal product apply: can be configured with a single Americium isotope; contains self-calibration feature; can be interfaced with the computer network to print hard copies of analysis reports; is preprogrammed with 3,000 alloys and more can be added through network computer, built in touch screen or barcode reader; can be remotely operated via computer interface, allowing the operator/inspector to perform parallel tasks; includes two rechargeable 4-6 hour lithium battery packs that are hot swappable for uninterrupted operation; analyzer mode is completely non-destructive; critical surfaces or plated material will be unaffected by the operation. The Government reserves the right to require a demonstration of the products offered in response to this solicitation. Delivery is required no later than 9/29/2003 (anticipate order placement no later than 8/30/2003). FOB Destination at Bremerton WA 98314 (52.247-34 applies). Inspection and acceptance at destination. Contractor must be CCR registered to receive award (252.204-7004 applies).
