Description
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has a need for renewal services for the TOMES Plus and Reprorisk System. TOMES is the most comprehensive compilation of proprietary and government information databases. The system offers extensive chemical, hazard, medical and regulatory data. The TOME Plus System offers an unparalleled collection of databases that meet a wide range of needs in the industrial safety and occupational health arenas, while addressing environmental concerns. The Reprorisk System is a comprehensive source of reproductive risk information databases. The NAICS code for this procurement is 514191, On-Line Information Services. It is the Government's intent to award a Commercial, Negotiated Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Parts 6, 12, 13 and 15 as appropriate, as a sole source Purchase Order to Thomson MICROMEDEX, 6200 S. Syracuse Way, Suite 300,Greenwood Village, CO 801111-4740. EPA estimates the procurement will range between $70,000 and $80,000. The purpose of this Fedbizops announcement is to 1) notify potential vendors of EPA's requirement and 2) give potential vendors an opportunity to submit a quote within five (5) days, if they believe they can meet the government's requirement as identified above. Vendors will have five (5) days to submit a quote. If the Government has not received ACCEPTABLE QUOTES within the specified five (5) day time period, award will be made to Thomson MICROMEDEX, the sole source vendor. The following factors shall be used to evaluate vendors: 1) Past Performance; 2) Technical Capability of the item offered to meet the Government's requirement and 3) Price, on an acceptable/unacceptable rating basis. This procurement is being processed under the streamlined and commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 6, 12, 13 and 15, as applicable. The Government intends that award will be made two (2) days after acceptable proposal(s) have been received.
