Description

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to negotiate a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity task order contract with the Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation (AADC) to provide their Kodiak Launch Complex (KLC) spaceport facilities, range services, communications and/or equipment as required to support Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) vehicle launches. See Note 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), in that it is likely that award to any other source would result in a substantial duplication of cost and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency’s requirement. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to the requirement in writing and submit to the undersigned. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all written responses received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
