Description
DESC: Provide all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and services necessary for the required work on the 625? guyed tower located at the US Coast Guard Loran Support Unit, Wildwood, NJ. In general the work includes but is not limited to the following: Replace eight (8) of the existing nine (9) side marker light units; replace one (1) of the two (2) beacon lights that is located at the second light level beacon light and install new lamps; install new lamps in all marker and beacon light units; replace one damaged (bent) horizontal structure member located in the second red band from the base of the tower; face ?A?, 4th bay from the bottom of the color band, top horizontal; adjust tension of all 24 Top Loading Elements (TLE) and the existing 30 structural guys on the 625? tower. Correct any misalignment or twist of the tower; existing tower structural hardware and insulator components shall be inspected for damage or potential failure. The Contractor shall make note of such problems and furnish breakdown replacement/installation costs of these items as part of the inspection report; locations on the tower?s metal structural or hardware surfaces that appear damaged, exposed or rusted shall be cleaned and painted, color shall match the obstruction markings; indicated structural hardware components shall be given a protective coating; test run the tower?s emergency lighting backup generator under load for a minimum of fifteen minutes; perform an engineering inspection of the 625? guyed antenna tower generating a report noting recommended work to be initiated immediately and in the future. This procurement is estimated between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS is 237130. Completion time is 45 DANTP. All responsible sources may submit a bid to be considered by the agency. NO TELEPHONE OR WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS. This office will not issue the solicitation or amendments for this project in paper form. On or about August 11, 2003, all relevant solicitation documents, including specifications and drawings will be available for download exclusively from the Internet by accessing the government-wide Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http://www.eps.gov. Interested parties are encouraged to register at the website to be notified when information on this project is uploaded. This project has been placed on hold. No further documents will be posted at this time.
