Description
Potential Sources Sought. - This sources sought synopsis describes winches that are used onboard the 225-foot U. S. Coast Guard vessels: drum winch, power operated assembly, quantity 2 each of Appleton Marine part number AMD-1379R and 2 each of Appleton Marine part number AMD-1379L. Delivery to be negotiated?FOB Destination to the U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Curtis Bay, Baltimore, MD. It is the government?s belief that only Appleton Marine, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) can provide the said winches. However, all qualified responsible potential sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. No specifications or drawings are available. Concerns that submit a proposal on this solicitation must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet the requirements. Detailed data by which to evaluate the potential offeror?s capabilities shall be submitted in duplicate no later than August 26, 2003. No cost or pricing data is required. The government does not intend to pay for the information submitted. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses must be concise and be specifically directed to the requirement mentioned above. Concerns that respond to the notice must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet the requirements. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered material: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability and compatibility of the material, or 2) data that the offered material and parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original equipment manufacturer. Adequately detailed data by which to evaluate the capabilities should be sent to the attention of Janice L. Sprouse, Contract Specialist (CODE 044/43). ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
