Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center (ELC) intends on awarding a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type Contract with options for four additional years for Lampchangers (2 items) utilizing Best Value. Solicitation number is DTCG40-03-R-20026. Offerors are required to submit Technical Proposal, Past Performance and Cost/Price Proposal. Technical Proposal will be considered significantly more important in the evaluation process than Past Performance and Cost/Price. A Request For Proposal (RFP) solicitation and all associated documents will be issued via FedBizzOpps on or about 8/29/03. Applicable North American Industry Code (NAIC) is 335999, size 750 employees. Award shall be made on an ALL or NONE basis. The acquisition is: Item 1. 6250-01-030-3485, Lampchanger, 12 volt DC Type CG-6P estimated quantity, 3300 each. Item 2. 6250-01-374-5127, Lampchanger, 12 Volts 110 watts, estimated quantity 150 each. All to be made in accordance with Coast Guard Specifications P-422-0281 and P-422-0138 and related Coast Guard drawings which will be uploaded with the Solicitation along with all other associated documents. NOTE: First Article samples (10 each) shall be required for items 1 and 2. No samples are available from this agency. First Article delivery (10 each) to be made 60 days after issuance of delivery order. Production delivery to be made 120 days after issuance of delivery order providing First Article is found to be acceptable. Items to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to: Receiving Officer, USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Warehouse Annex, 6751 Alexander Bell Drive, Columbia Maryland, 21046-2102. Final acceptance shall be at destination. All responsible and responsive sources will be considered by this agency. A formal notice of changes will be issued in Fed Bizz Opps at www.eps.gov. It is the offeror?s responsibility to monitor the EPS system for any amendments to the RFP. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DEBs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
