Description

The Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Eastern Administrative Support Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) for increased quanties of data sampling for which they are currently under contract. The additional data required will supplement currently collected data and allow the agency to better evaluate benthic habitats in the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Reserve. The statutory authority for this action is 41 USC 253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. This action is estimated below the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000. No contract will be awarded based on responses to this notice since this notice is not a request for quotation.
