Description

POLYMER-GRADED MONOMERS NAICS: 325199, SIC: 2869, FSC: 6850, SIZE STANDARD 1000 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The proposed source is Tri State Chemicals, Dayton Ohio. The items being procured are 100 grams each of ultra-pure 2,2’-sulfonated-4,4’-difluorophenyl sulfone, 2,2’-sulfonated-4,4’-dichlorophenyl sulfone, 2-sulfoterephthalic anhydride, 1,2,4,5-tetraaminobenzene tetrahydrochloride, 4,6-diaminoresorcinol dihydrochloride. These chemicals are required urgently for synthesis of polymers and copolymers for high temperature proton exchange membranes. This synopsis is being published for informational purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, the government will consider any quotations received within 10 days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
