Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-03-T-0089 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is a small purchase, unrestricted solicitation. CLIN 0001: PN: CTM6 Coverslipper, QTY: 02, Unit of Issue: EA. CLIN 0002: PN: 172580 Autostainer Adapter XL, QTY: 06, Unit of Issue: EA. The following clauses and provisions are applicable and will be incorporated into the solicitation by reference, and will be available in full text upon request. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-15. FAR 52.212-1. INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 95). 52.212-3 OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (OCT 95) must be completed and submitted along with the proposal, a copy can be obtained by contacting the Contract Specialist, Domingo B. Past performance, technical capability based on the description requirements and delivery when combined are significantly more important than cost or price. Prior to award, the government will review the quotes for the purpose of ascertaining their technical capability.
