- Description
- GSA announces a contract opportunity for design-build of an APHIS Veterinary Animal Inspection Facility to be located at Oroville, Washington. The project includes estimated building area of 325.2 square meters (3,500 gsf), and related site development. Facility includes animal holding pens (232.3 square meters (2,500 gsf)), office space 92.9 square meters (1,000 gsf)) and site work to include truck maneuvering/parking pavement, animal waste disposal system and parking for two Government vehicles. Design-Build Contract cost is estimated in a range between 800 thousand to 1.2 million US dollars, with occupancy planned for no later than 12/2004. The work under this contract includes all design, labor, material, equipment, and mark-ups necessary to deliver a complete functional APHIS Veterinary facility consistent with contract requirements, performance specifications, codes, and standards. Contractors and Design Firms from the United States are encouraged to apply. The contract award will be based on a best value Two-Phase Design Build Source Selection. This process requires potential contractors to submit their performance and capability information in Phase I for review and consideration by the Government. Following the review, evaluation and rating of these proposals, the Government will ?short list? up to a maximum of three of the highest rated Phase I offerors to receive the technical requirements package and to provide a technical and cost/price proposal. The RFP is under development but should be issued within the next 2 weeks.
