Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), New England Region, intends to prequalify contractors interested in receiving a Request for Offer (RFO) for construction of a 11 story Air Traffic Control Tower and a 5550 square foot Base Building and 1470 square foot detached Engine Generator Building to be located at Manchester Airport, Londonderry, NH. The work shall include, but is not limited to: General site work, subsurface drainage, power and telecommunication duct banks, landscaping, general building construction, structural steel, steel stud, sheetrock, elevator, raised room flooring and electrical work. The total performance time is 550 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated construction range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification Standards is 23332. Contractors who request to be prequalified will receive a Screening Information Request (SIR). Prequalification will be based on construction experience as a prime or general contractor on projects of similar size and scope, past performance, and management and field staffing experience. The FAA will be prequalifing Prime or General Contractors only. Contractors who prequalify will be eligible to receive a Request for Offer. The Request for Offer when issued will required a $100.00 non refundable fee from prequalified contractors for one set of plans and specification only. The FAA will not provide additional sets of plans and specifications to the prequalified contractors or others who request plans and specifications. Requests to prequalify will be accepted until September 5, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. local time. A SIR will be issued on or about September 5, 2003 and must be returned no later than 2:00 p.m. local time, September 19, 2003. SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
