Description
NA This is a notice of intent to procure a single source contract with Landoll Corporation, Marysville, KS to manufacture a Rotating Transmission Fixture to lift and rotate the Abrams M1A1 and M1A2, 6,000 lb Transmission for the Advanced Turbine Engine Army M aintenance Site (ATEAM), Ft Riley, KS. This procurement is being procured pursuant to FAR 6.301(a) ??????Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies Will Satisfy Agency Requirements??????. The transmission roll over fixture must allow the transmis sion to be lifted and rotated to allow access to one (1) input cover housing and (2) output cover housings for disassembly. At a minimum the fixture must rotate 180 degrees, but it is preferable that the fixture rotate 360 degrees. The fixture must allow for vertical disassembly of the gear clusters, plates, etc. A secondary fixture will be included which attaches to the transmission on the shipping pallet to allow for overhead crane assistance to the primary fixture. This fixture should allow for ease and safety in moving and attaching to the primary fixture. A remote control which attaches with a minimum of 20 foot cord will be required to allow personnel to safely operate the fixture from a distance (no electronic remotes). All hydraulic oil must be captured. A safe working platform is required for the maintenance personnel. The fixture must also be capable to be used for other maintenance requirements. All drawings and specifications for this fixture are proprietary to Landoll. NO DRAWINGS ARE AVAIL ABLE FOR THIS ITEM. Responsible sources who feel they can fabricate this item must provide in writing, a drawing and specification of the item to include the cost and prior contracts for similar items and past performance information. Convincing evidence of your capability to manufacture this item, must be provided within 15 days of this notification, but NLT 1400 hrs 10 Sep 03.
