Description

This announcement is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available. The Bureau of Reclamation Snake River Area intends to issue a sole source contract with HSQ Technology for a Master Station Upgrade and the addition of Boise Diversion Dam Node to the SIP SCADA system - (Southern Idaho Powerplants - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). HSQ will provide two new main host computers configured identical to the existing system and assist in configuring one of the old computers to serve as local host to the Boise Diversion Powerplant. They shall provide the correct peripheral equipment to ensure that the Boise Diversion system is compatible with the rest of the system. HSQ will also provide technical assistance following the upgrade installation in the form of ongoing telephone support. The SCADA system was previously designed by HSQ to meet the needs of Reclamation's Southern Idaho Powerplant's control system. The software that must be incorporated into the computers to be provided in the upgrade is proprietary to it's supplier, HSQ Technology. They are uniquely qualified as the only company that understands the specific hardware and software integration required for Reclamation's SCADA system. Parties who believe they have sufficient knowledge of the SIP SCADA system configuration sufficient to provide an upgrade may submit an SF245/255 demonstrating their firm's qualifications to the address above. No phone or fax inquiries will be allowed.
