- Description
- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Sigma Environmental Services of Oak Creek, WI for the purchase of Ground Water Monitoring Services. The Purchase will include The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies and water treatment products, test kits necessary to monitor ground water for contaminants at the V.A. Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. During each round of monitoring the contractor shall collect static groundwater elevations to assist in the evaluation of seasonal groundwater flow direction. Infield analytical parameters consisting of dissolved oxygen, redox potential, and dissolved iron shall be collected from each well. These parameters will assist in establishing a base line for the evaluation of natural attenuation of the identified impacts through biodegradation. Following the collection of the field parameters, each well shall be purged and sampled in accordance with Chapter NR 141 Wisconsin Administrative Code for the analysis for volatile organic compounds. These services are for the VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. The Government believes that Sigma Environmental Services is the only company, which can meet our requirements NAICS: 334513. This Notice of Intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how they can meet the VA requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. If no responses are received within the period indicated, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Sigma Environmental Services.
