Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. NOTICE TO OFFERORS: FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS ACQUISITION. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THIS SOLICITATION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS SOLICITATION EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE OFFER DUE DATE. Solicitation F45613-03-Q-A053 is issued as a request for quote, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. NAICS Code is 336212. Small business size standard is 500. This is a small business set-aside. This is a request for custom flat bed truck trailer that converts to a portable platform (stage) (Century Industries MPP1624 base unit with #56061 skirt, or equal). The unit is to have a 24-foot long bed with fold-outs that would make a finished platform size of 24 foot by 16 foot. The set-up is to be simple and easy to erect and retract (power assist) whereby one person can accomplish the task with minimal time and effort expended. There needs to be legs to support the stage in the extended position. There are to be removable side and back rails; stairs; and a decorative skirting that encloses the entire lower portion of the stage when in the set-up position.
