- NA On behalf of the U.S. Army, Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, the Defense Contracting Command Washington is seeking potential contractors who can provide on site audio equipment maintenance, installation and upgrades. Services will be performed at 23 20 Mill Road, Alexandria Virginia. The proposed period of performance is for a base period of twelve (12) months, with four (4) one-year options. Equipment is located in individual editing and recording studios. SRTV currently has 5 audio recording stud ios, 3 video recording suites, 1 video recording studio, 1 audio automation studio, video/audio distribution and duplication rooms and offices. All equipment will be repaired and maintained on site where applicable. All equipment will be maintained to me et existing and future broadcast standards. Contractor shall provide full installation and engineering assistance and services for new and replacement equipment. These services will include but not limited to updating of equipment, in house wiring and ca bling diagrams, operational tests, alignments, interfacing of new and replacement equipment, provide on site operational guidelines and updates of new and replacement equipment. Contractor shall provide on site engineering services when SRTV engineering s taff is off site, on leave or TDY. Equipment to be serviced will include but not limited to the following; Yamaha, Amek, Broadcast Electronics, Technics, Otari, SONY, JVC, TEKTRONICS, SIGMA, VIDEOTEK test and monitoring equipment, MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR BIDDERS 1. QUALITY ASSURANCE: The contractor/supplier of services under this contract shall have five or more years of experience in the supply, installation and maintenance of broadcast duty equipment and systems. The contractor shall maintain a full time, sta ffed service and spare parts facility within 40 miles of the location where the equipment is to be serviced, installed and operated. 2. SERVICE RESPONSE: The contractor/supplier shall have the capability of responding with competent, trained service technicians within two (2) hours from the time a service call is placed, during weekly business hours. A maximum total travel time allow ance of one hour will be allowed per service call. 3. SERVICING EQUIPMENT: The contractor/supplier shall, as a minimum, own and maintain electronic service equipment adequate to service, maintain and repair all types of video/audio recording equipment. This equipment shall consist of RF spectrum, real ti me, digital and analog analyzers, oscilloscopes, sweep and tone generators, cable test equipment, VOM, audio test equipment, dB meters, circuit testers, analog and digital signal generators and testers. 4. AUTHORIZED DEALER: The contractor/supplier shall be an authorized dealer/service center for equipment being repaired and maintained. Invoicing of all repairs and service calls shall be on a once (1) per month basis. Contractors billing site office a nd official invoice shall be identical to the address on final contract. 5. REFERENCES: The contractor/supplier shall furnish references sufficient to prove competence and compliance in selling, installing and servicing the equipment cover under the contract. Projects submitted for compliance with this section shall be subst antially completed, although projects in progress and not fully accepted by the owners may be submitted as references. As a minimum, three (3) references shall be furnished, which will consist of the following items: 1. Name of project. 2. Name of owner of project, contact person, telephone number. 3. Date or anticipated date of completion/acceptance. 4. Name of consulting engineer who reviewed documents, if any. 5. Short synopsis of project work, with this list of major equipment items. The Government shall have the right to demand and receive positive proof of compliance with any and all the foregoing requirements. All responsible sources are invited, at no cost to t he Government to provide technical information for a capability evaluation. Individual responses to this request for information that may contain proprietary information must be marked accordingly. Such information will not be released outside the Govern ment. The Government may revise its acquisition strategy and solicitation requirements based upon the industry response. The purpose of the request for information is to identify companies with resources and capabilities to support this requirement. Thi s Sources Sought/Market Research shall not be construed as a request for proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract from the results of this Sources Sought. There is no solicitation document. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information identified (e.g., limited and/or restricted rights).
