Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a non-competitive contract to Geo-Boy, St. Peter, MN to provide a GEO-BOY brush cutter tractor for the Alligator River NWR in East Lake, NC. The track design on the GEO-BOY allows the machine to hug the terrain and will maintain the low ground pressure needed in the wet and organic soils, where the machine will be working. Other machines( including track hoes/excavators) are not designed to maintain low ground pressure in uneven terrain. The GEO-BOY appears to be the best brush cutter tractor for the conditions in Eastern North Carolina. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304.
