Description
NA The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Bath, Maine, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for the repair of the sea chest and minor associated piping onboard the navy tug YTB-771. This is an unscheduled repair. The tug is located in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. Because the Supervisor intends for the YTB-771 to deliver to the repair facility under its own power a determination has been made that 150 statute miles is the maximum safe operating range for delivery. Any interested party may make an offer, but be advised repairs must be accomplished within the 150 mile radius. To be qualified the vendor must have a current MSRA or ABR with the Naval Sea Systems Comand. A solicitation has been released. The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard has a shipyard evolution on 30 September, 2003 that requires the YTB to be present. This acquisition will be awarded under rules for Simplif ied Acquisition (FAR Part 13) and is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The anticipated award date is 5 September 2003.
