Description

Pending the availability of funding, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to acquire MIPS increases for the CMS Data Center. CMS will be negotiating on a sole source basis with each of the following vendors: ASG Federal, Inc.; BMC Software; Candle Corporation; Computer Associates; Compuware Corporation, Consul Enterprise Security and IBM Corporation. Additionally, pending the availability of funding, CMS will negotiate with the IBM Corporation to acquire additional copies of Websphere MQ and DB2 Connect software. The procurement will be conducted under other than full and open competition, under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1). If no affirmative written documentation is received within (30) calendar days of this synopsis, CMS will proceed with negotiations to issue a GSA schedule award to each of the vendors cited above, other than Consul Enterprise Security which is Open Market.
