Description

NA The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, with Computer Network Technology Corporation (CNT), 1 00 Mount Holly By-Pass Lumberton, NJ 08048. The Contractor shall provide telephone and on-site preventative maintenance, software and hardware upgrades for two of the 2700 Matrix Switches that are located in the Pentagon. 7x24x365 coverage is required w ith a 15-minute call back response time and a 2-hour on-site response time. CNT is the sole designer and manufacturer of the 2700 Matrix Switching products, including hardware, firmware and software. As such they are the only full service provider of com prehensive maintenance and support services. They are the only known source that can troubleshoot problems and diagnose failures and supply the necessary parts and software upgrades. The government anticipates a Fixed Price contract. This action is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13.5 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial/Items Services under FAR Part 12. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811213 with size standard of $6.0 million. This re quirement is for a 12-month base year contract. This is not a request for quote or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Request for copies of a solici tation will not be honored. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
