- GENERAL This statement of work defines the maintenance program required per Original Manufactures Equipment (OEM) maintenance recommendations. The maintenance of Mercury outboard engines will be performed per pages 54 & 55 of the Outboard Operation Maintenance & Warranty Manual. Items included by maintenance include the hull, and all connected structures, power plant(s) and electrical and mechanical subsystems. Craft included in this maintenance requirement: ? Two SeaArk Marine 21 foot Roustabouts Hull ID number SAMA1235I101 & SAMA1234I101 ? One SeaArk Marine 3010B Transport Hull ID number SAMA1236E101 ? Three ?Boat Masters? trailers. Model # SAG212RB69 S/N 9274 & 9256 and Model # SAG30TP150 S/N 9255 ? Four 150 hp Mercury Outboard engines Serial numbers OT389899, OT3899898, & OT389745, (two on the 3010B, one on each of the two 21 foot Roustabouts). TASK REQUIREMENTS ARE: WEEKLY GENERAL MAINTENANCE INCLUDES: 1. Check battery condition using voltage and hydrometer checks, check / battery terminals and coat with corrosion protection spray, verify battery box / hold down straps are secure. Verify bilge pump functions in modes, auto and manual. (activate float switch) 2. Visual inspection and electrical test of all navigation, deck, utility and gauge panel lights. 3. Perform functional test of Raymarine VHF radio / (perform general radio check on channel 16). 4. Verify PERKO battery switch is functional and free of corrosion. 5. Visual and Mechanical inspection of helm (Sea Star Hydraulic steering system9, for full unobstructed movement between stops in full down position, and visual checks of all associated linkage, fasteners, pins, hoses, check fluid level. 6. Visual inspection of fuel system for rubber component deterioration by pressurization of fuel system (compression of the primer bulb) and checking for leaks at all connections and water separating fuel filters, also check for swelling or hardening of the rubber. 7. Inspection of engine oil level and steering hydraulic fluid levels. 8. Functional mechanical and electrical testing of the engine and supporting subsystems. I.e all gauges self calibrate from start and engine operates within specifications, cooling system water is pumping out of the water pump indicator hole, trim / tilt hydraulics have full range of motion and are free of leaks, visual inspection of the prop for damage and prop nut for tightness. 9. Functional check of the emergency engine kill switch (lanyard stop watch). 10. Visual inspection of all hardware for form, fit, and function. 11. Verify Fire extinguishers are properly charged and securely mounted, verify Coast Guard Safety equipment minimum requirements are on board. And functional see, on board checklist of safety equipment required. 12. Inspect trailers and all hardware i.e. correct tire pressure, buddy bearings packed (full), cables or straps for damage and wear, visual inspection of connecting hardware and welds. 25 HOURS OR 30 DAY MAINTENANCE INCLUDES: 1. Check Quicksilver throttle and gear control console electrical connections, and fasteners for tightness, verify screws torque is 60 inch lbs. (see page two of the 88688A25 Single Handle control manual). 2. Check trailer surge brake fluid level. 3. Check all hull mounted and engine mounted sacrificial zinc anodes, replace if broken, has severe marine growth, or its size has been reduced by 50%. 100 HOURS OR 1 YEAR MAINTENANCE INCLUDES: 1. Spark plug replacement, visual inspection of spark plug wires. 2. Lubrication of all lube points, drive shaft splines and shift lever / shaft. 3. Replacement of water separation filter and compressor air intake filter. 4. Drain and replace lower unit gear case lubricant. 5. Check power trim / tilt fluid. 6. Replace water pump impeller, check shaft and impeller mounting surfaces for grooves. 7. Check for tightness of engine bolts, nuts and other fasteners. 8. Check throttle and shift control cables and levers for proper adjustment. 9. Remove, clean & grease helm support rod support (Steering rod slide support structure located at each engine, per manufacturers instructions, page 54 of the SeaStar steering system owner?s manual. 10. Inspect all engine areas that show signs of corrosion, and touch up with Mercury outboard paint. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS PROVIDED ARE: ? SeaArk Marine Owners Manual revision 04-11-00. ? Mercury Outboard Operation, Maintenance & Warranty manual (and supplement) for OptiMax 135-150-175 hp models, manual number 90-10199010-1100. ? SeaStar Hydraulic steering for outboard powered vessels installation instructions and owners manual. ? Quicksilver 88688A25 Single Handle Trim Control installation, operation & maintenance instruction manual number 90-812627 1-95 ? Raymarine Ray 45 VHF instruction manual, document number G627266-5 REPORTS Maintenance reports / check list will be maintained for each craft and will be supplied to Naval Ordnance Test Unit by the 30th of the month. This report / checklist shall include a schedule of the maintenance performed, and problems encountered or repairs made.
