- Description
- The San Juan VA Medical Center, San Juan, Puerto Rico has a requirement for a service contract for Waste Disposal Services for Non-hazardous Material at the San Juan VA Medical Center, San Juan and Puerto Rico National Cemetery, Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision for this type of procurement. The solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This solicitation is set aside to small business 100%. Therefore, Offers are solicited only from small business concerns. The NAICS Code is 562212 and the small business size standard is $5.0 Million. Availability of this solicitation will be limited for viewing and downloading, free of charge via http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ since September 2, 2003 and the due date to submit the offers for this proposal is on September 12, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. America Puerto Rico_Time. Term of Contract: the period of performance shall begin on October 1, 2003 or the date of contract award whichever is later and continue through September 30, 2004. The contract includes two 12-month options. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable, if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Type of Contract: VA anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Performance Based contract based on the contents of this RFP solicitation. All contractual and technical questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing and may be faxed to (787) 641-8364 attention to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contracting Officer. No telephone or e-mail questions will be accepted. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will only be posted on the aforementioned website. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view the aforementioned website for any amendments made to the solicitation. Detailed information will be provided in the solicitation. RFPs must be address attention to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contracting Officer, Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Contracting Office (672/BO-3), #10 Calle Casia, San Juan, PR 00921-3201 and offers are due on September 12, 2003 by 3:30 P.M.
