- Description
- The US Army TACOM ARDEC, is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential sources to provide technical expertise and support to a Government and Contractor Integrated Product Team (IPT) working on the high energy pulsed power supply effort in support of the Electromagnetic (EM) Gun Technology Maturation and Demonstration Program. The actual design, build, and test of the high fidelity rotating machine breadboard for a high energy pulsed power supply is not part of this request for potential sources. Any interested parties for this rotating machine support effort must submit clear and concise information that will show a superior understanding of fundamental and applied research in electromagnetics, electromechanics, energy storage, and high performance energy conversion. In addition, capabilities sought must include an extensive body of knowledge and experience with prototype design, fabrication, assembly, and test of rotating machines for use in high energy pulsed power supplies. This can be demonstrated in the form of patents, publications, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and test data for state of the art rotating machines. This information should be included with any submission. This information is to be provided via email to jarber@pica.army.mil or pnickel@pica.army.mil, and received by 19 September 2003.
