Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to solicit for engineering support services for: Combat Systems Engineering, Computer Program Maintenance, In-Country Support, Alteration Installation and Overhauls, Staging and Follow-On Testing. The intended contract period of performance is one twelve-month base period with two twelve-month options. This potential contract will provide AEGIS FMS support to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) DDG-173 Class Ships and contain options for other AEGIS FMS Support (e.g. Norway, Spain and other countries). The engineering services will support existing shipboard and land-based applications. The proposed contractual effort requires unique knowledge of and expertise with existing AEGIS Combat Systems. This contract will be issued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2), 199 Borton Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08057-0927 as they are currently the only firm with the required Combat Systems Engineering experience.
