- Subject solicitation is amended to clarify paragraph 3. of the salient characteristics, change applicable clauses in 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders — Commercial Items and to extend the date for receipt of quotes. The salient characteristics paragraph 3. Sensors is changed to read: 3. Sensor: 3.1. Detect 0.06-3.0 MeV gamma radiation, 3.2. Detect Thermal – 14 MeV neutrons, 3.3. Sensitivity: The device will detect: 3.3.1 Gamma: 5.0 µCi 137Cs at a distance of 10" (25cm), 3.0 µCi 60Co at a distance of 7" (18cm), Neutron: 1000 grams of 239Pu at a distance of 10" (25cm), With the alarm threshold set to give a false alarm rate of <1 per 8 hours operation.", 1000 counts per second per milli-Rem/Hour, 3.4. Response Time - < 1 second, 3.5. Environmental constraints, 3.5.1. Temperature Range: -10° F to 110° F, 3.5.2. Humidity: 0% to 95 % relative humidity at 95° F. 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders — Commercial Items is changed as follows: (20) 52.225-5 Trade Agreements Act is deleted, (18) 52.225-1 Buy America Act and as an addenda 52.225-2 Buy America Act – Balance of Payments Program Certificate are hereby added. The date for receipt of quotes is changed FROM: July 10, 2003 TO: July 14, 2003 by 2:00 PM EST.
