Description
Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the dockside repairs of USCGC SHERMAN (WHEC 720), a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in Alameda, California. All work shall be performed at the cutter pier side, during the period from 24 September 2003 to 15 October 2003. Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on or about 18 September 2003 with quotes due by 10 a. m. on 23 September 2003. Offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.fedbizopps.gov. Work items will include: flight decks (exterior) renew. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. FedTeDS: In order to open and download the specifications, the vendor must register in FedTeDS (accessible at www.fedteds.gov) using their CCR data. E-mail will arrive in 48 hours to the vendor authorizing access. A link to the specifications will be made available at the www.fedbizopps.gov site when the RFQ is posted there. This solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. For Women-Owned and Disadvantage Business Enterprises, the Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
