- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for repair services that supports the weather service systems, subsystems, and component parts to Aeroflex Laboratories, Plainview, NY. Aeroflex Laboratories is the original manufacturer of the equipment and has the facilities, procedures and expertise to assure the successful and timely repair of the equipment. The Aeroflex Laboratories will furnish labor and material to place in like-new operating condition and good appearance to meet their specifications and/or tolerances of the equipment listed: ASN: R400-4A1A1A1, P/N 110967-A1A1, COHO Driver Assy; R400-4A1A2A4, P/N 110979-A2A4, SPDT Switch Driver; ASN: R400-4A1A1A3, COHO Oscillator Assy; ASN: R400-4A1A1A4, P/N 110970-A1A4, COHO Splitter Assy; R400-4A1A1A5, P/N 110971-A1A5, BIT Circuit Assy; ASN: R400-4A1A1A7, P/N 110973-A1A7, Phase Mod. Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to Aeroflex Laboratories under SAO (JSPO) Contract No. 50-SPNA-6-00027, will now be accounted for and managed under the BPA. The government knows of no other qualified source and believes that this item is proprietary to Aeroflex Laboratories. The government does not have specifications or any adequately detailed information to solicit a bid from another source. These items will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, MO. Any other small business sources, able to repair the exact make and model of the equipment reference herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 calendar days after its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to repair the specified equipment. Also include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other government agency to which it has previously repaired these items. The information should be submitted to the address stated herein or email a request to karen.l.christian@noaa.gov or may be faxed to telephone number 816-426-7530 ATTN: Karen Christian. This is NOT a request for proposals and there is no solicitation. The government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement to Aeroflex Laboratories, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the government without further notice. The anticipated award date shall be within 15 calendar days after date of this announcement. The NAICS code for this action is 335999. This is not a small business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency. The Central Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003.
