Description

This is a notice of the intent to conduct a sole source acquisition for commercial items from Unisys Corporation, McLean, Va., in accordance with FAR 12 and FAR 13. The authority is FAR 6.302-1. The IRS intends to purchase twenty (20) Unisys Network Document Processors (NDP) model #600. This equipment is used to process taxpayer remittances for daily deposit. These NDPs will replace the old NDPs (transports) at the IRS Campuses. The equipment will be delivered to Philadelphia, Pa.; Memphis, Tn.; Austin, Tx.; Fresno, Ca.; Beltsville, Md.; Covington, Ky.; Kansas, Mo.; Ogden, Ut.; and Chamblee, Ga. If any businesses are able to fulfill this requirement, respond to this notice by 3:00PM, 9/10/03. If no responses are received by 9/10/03 a sole source contract will be negotiated with Unisys. Please send any questions or literature to 6009 Oxon HIll Road, Oxon Hill, Md. 20745. See note 22, forty-five days is changed to seven days.
