- Description
- The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for the design and construction of the security system upgrades at the Los Angeles, California - Processing and Distribution Center. Included is the design and construction of a criminal investigation office in the warehouse building (2,100 SF), one hundred (100) fixed focus and pan, tilt and zoom cameras throughout the main building and the warehouse, and new multiplexers, video recorders, conduit and wire, and other head end video equipment. Work includes the installation of a new badge reader and access control system for the entire site, a new retail security system in the retail lobby, and the provision of a bulletproof screen line in the Express Mail area. Estimated cost range is $1.0 million to $1.6 million. The work is to be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed date.
