- Description
- The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 intends to negotiate with Philips Medical Information Systems on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, for purchase of a CompuRecord Anesthesia Information System. This system from Philips Medical is an automated record keeping system for anesthesia and will provide highly accurate record of anesthesia given to patients during surgery. The system will include comprehensive implementation services to interface with HL-7 transactions via a TCP-IP socket to and from the CGI integration platform and includes purchase and installation of the Integration Engine Software and all associated tools and hardware as well as training, verification, and validation of the application configuration. Firms who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide an alternate system which will meet the capabilities and functionality described above may notify the Contracting Officer in writing, no later than 4:30PM on 9/26/03. Such notification must include a complete description of proposed equipment, including narrative and specifications, and must demonstrate that it meets or exceeds the capabilities described above. Notification shall be mailed to Kathleen M Grundza, Contracting Officer, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15206. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
