- Pre-Invitation Notice for Exterior & Interior Renovations and New Fitness Center, Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse, 316-20 Sixth Street, Sioux City, IA 51101. Job PCN RIA22200 and RIA23275 respectively. Invitation For Bid 09/22/2003. Estimated Cost Range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Time for completion: 240 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Competency qualification information is required prior to award for asbestos and lead paint abatement. Abatement insurance covering this type of work is also required. No document charge or deposit required. The project consists of providing all labor, material and disposal required to clean and tuck point exterior limestone, modernize two (2) existing public elevators, including new HVAC and associated mechanical and electrical upgrades, remove Lobby wing walls, clean Lobby metal finishes and add new directional/information signage at the main Lobby entry. Work includes but is not limited to, demolition, masonry cleaning and repair, metal cleaning, new elevator cabs, devices, systems, finishes and upgrades, asbestos and lead paint abatement, HVAC upgrades and associated electrical and mechanical work. Options: Option 1 consists of providing and installing a new ramp and rails, along with a symmetric wall and rails at the main entry to the building; Option 2 consists of removing an existing return air duct and replacing it with a new duct return, including associated mechanical and electrical work; Option 3 consists of cleaning and tuck pointing exterior brick, including replacement of damaged brick; Option 4 consists of asbestos and lead paint abatement associated with Option 5; Option 5 consists of providing and installing locker, toilet and fitness rooms, including associated mechanical and electrical work; Options 5, 6 and 7 consist of elevator maintenance for designated terms. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on October 8, 2003 at 9:00am at the following location: Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse 316-20 6th Street, ICN Classroom (Basement Level) Sioux City, IA 51101 All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. There is a 10% price evaluation factor for Hub Zone Small Business and a 10% Price Evaluation Adjustment for Small Disadvantaged Business Concerns.
