Description
NA The Air Warrior Block III Systems Integrator contract Draft Statement of Work is furnished at the FTP Site indicated below for your review and comment. The Government intends to also periodically release other related documentation, as available, prior to the formal release of the Request for Proposal (RFP). This information is being provided for the purpose of obtaining industry comments/ questions to improve the overall acquisition data package. Request that comments/input be provided to the address in dicated below by 24 September 2003. The formal Request for Proposal will be published in the FBO in the 4th Quarter, CY2003 . It will also include specific instructions for preparing and submitting a proposal for the current effort. The estimated value of this developmental contract (FY04-FY08) is $ 30.6 million. It will include an initial delivery order issued at the time of contract award, with options for additional delivery orders through the contracted period of performance, su bject to availability of funding. It is anticipated that after the end of the current 5-year research and development effort, that a follow-on production contract will be awarded for delivery of production systems. The estimated value of the follow-on Bl ock III production deliveries is $89 million. The initial delivery order will include functional analysis/requirements decomposition activities necessary to identify areas of non-compliance with the AW ORD and SPS requirements based upon the capabilities resulting from the current Block 1 and Block 2 technical insertion programs. Based upon the identification of these requirements/missing capabilities the contractor shall perform market research/analysis and trade studies to identify candidate Block 3 technologies/products. Future development and ev aluation/procurement of the identified block 3 candidates will occur as separate delivery orders based upon user priorities and available funding. In addition, separate delivery order(s) will be executed for recurring program support, to include, as nece ssary,: configuration management, system safety/MANPRINT, and limited Integrated Logistics Support activities. The following types of activities may be performed during the current Air Warrior Block III Systems Integrator 5-year effort: Functional Analysis/Requirements, Decomposition; Market Research/Analysis; Trade Studies/Evaluations; Configuration Management, S ystem Safety/MANPRINT, and Limited Integrated Logistics Support; Subsystem Hardware Design/Development; Aircraft Integration; Subsystem Test and Evaluation; Hardware Production/Procurement.
