- Description
- Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex intends to procure on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302 under a firm fixed priced contract, electric convection heaters as manufactured by Chromolox as described herein. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The applicable request for quote number is N00181-03-Q-0619. The NAICS classification is 333414 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia 23709-5000. Required delivery date is 12/1/2003. Inspection and acceptance is at Destination. Items are as follows: ITEM 0001 NSN 4520-01-275-9087, Qty 2 each; Heater, space, electric. Electric convection heater shall be Chromolox size CE 3-1/2, P/N 003-057564-004. ITEM 0002 NSN 4520-01-275-9088 Qty 6 each, Heater, electric convection size CE-5, P/N 003-057564-005. ITEM 0003 NSN 4520-01-275-9085 Qty. 1 each, Electric convection heater, Size CE-6, P/N 003-057564-007. ITEM 0004 NSN 4520-01-272-4642 Qty. 7 each, Electric convection heater, Size CE-12, P/N 003-057564-010. ITEM 0005 NSN 4520-01-275-9089 Qty. 4 each, Electric convection heater, Size CE-15, P/N 003-057564-012. The following provisions/clauses are applicable FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items (price and past performance are equally important in evaluation), 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 (incorporating (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), and (16). ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001 incorporating 252.225-7001, DFAR 252.204-7004. Contractors are required to be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration). Lack of registration in the CCR shall make an offeror INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. All responses must include a completed copy of the certifications and representations set forth in FAR 52.212-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000. Parties responding to the Request for Quotation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g.; company letterhead, quote form, etc.) but must include the following: (1) complete mailing/remittance address(es); (2) prompt payment discount (if applicable); (3) delivery schedule; (4) taxpayer (TIN) ID#; and (5) all completed certifications as required herein. All responses must be received by September 12, 1:00 P.M. local time and shall reference the Request for quote number N00181-03-Q-0619.
