Description

The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole-source procurement to Advanced Communications, 4933 Shoreline Dr., Ketchikan, AK 99901-9029. Contractor shall provide and install 11 additional cameras to existing surveillance system along with 2 digital multiplex recorders, 6 monitors, 1 UPS, various pieces of hardware, 3 gate intercom systems tied into CG phone switch at Integrated Support Command Ketchikan. Contractor shall furnish all cable and electrical required to make system operational. Contractor shall provide at least 4 training sessions during the year period after installation. After installation KR shall provide one year of technical support. Contractor shall provide on site maintenance and warranty service within 24 hours of notification of a system or equipment failure. Support will provide 24 hour response, 7 days a week. The system is manufactured by Kalatel and Extreme. The Coast Guard has determined that competition is not available as the Advanced Communications is the only know authorized dealer of the product that can provide the maintenance within the required response time. The Coast Guard requires Kalatel and Extreme products to ensure compatibility and operations with existing system. If no responses are received with fifteen (15) days with sufficient information to determine that another responsible source is available, negotiations will be conducted with Advanced Communications.
