Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be used. The PTO plans to award a commercial item contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to the offeror that provides the best value to the government considering price. All Authorized Resellers should submit a price quote for the following item under the following terms and conditions: DS1402001 Passport 8010 10 slot chassis. Includes chassis, dual backplane, two fan trays, RS232 cable for management console, rack mount kit and cable guide kit. Requires at least 1 power supply. Up to three power supplies supported. (Qty: 4) DS1405E08 8004AC 100-240 VAC Power Supply. At least one power supply required per 8006, 8010, or 8010co chassis. (Includes North American Power Cord) (Qty: 12) DS1404025 Passport 8691SF Routing Switch Module CPU/Switch Fabric module - One required for per Passport 8000 Routing Switch chassis. Note: Includes PCMCIA flash memory card. (Qty: 4) DS1410003-3.3 Passport 8000 Routing Switch Software Kit (Includes v3.3 SW license, Device Manager, and complete SW documentation set). (Qty: 1) This announcement constitutes the RFQ and is the only solicitation that will be issued. This solicitation incorporates all of the applicable provisions of FAR clause 52.212-1. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS ? COMMERCIAL ITEMS, with its offer. The successful offeror will be awarded a firm fixed price commercial item contract for the above requirement using simplified procedures. The commercial item contract will contain the terms and conditions of FAR clause 52.212-4 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS ? COMERCIAL ITEMS, the applicable terms and conditions of FAR clause 52.212-5, CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT STATUTES OR EXECUTIVE ORDERS ? COMMERCIAL ITEMS and the following Section 508 clause ?Section 508 Compliance - In accordance with Section 508, the USPTO requires that all Electronic Information Technology (?EIT?), as that term is defined at FAR ?2.101, delivered under the contract comply with the applicable EIT accessibility standards issued by the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board set forth at 36 CFR part 1194?. Any qualified vendor wishing to propose on the above requirement should submit a firm fixed price proposal, responsive to the requirements of this combined synopsis/solicitation, to the Patent and Trademark Office, Office of Procurement, via E-Mail to Hope.Smith@USPTO.GOV no later than 4:00 P.M.
