- Description
- VAMC, 7305 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33020 has a sole source requirement for a Automatic Glass Instrument CTM-6 Coverslipper. It is the VA intent to award this requirement to Richard Allen Scientific, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Compact design, deposits mounting medium and glass coverslips at a capacity of 400 slides per hour. The replacement of the current coverslipper will allow the agency a higher level of compliance with regulatory agencies and eliminate the use of xylene (hazardous) to improve safety and efficient operation of the Histology Dept. due to elimination of the need to physically transfer slides from one holder to another. The new equipment meets VA guidelines for archived slide retention of 25 years. Written responses may be faxed to Pamela Kelley at (561) 882-6507.
